As we closed Artistic Associate Stephanie Rohr's directorial debut, SPIKE HEELS, this past weekend, it dawned on me—this is the last time we'll have a three-week run under our belts. 2010's REEFER MADNESS! (our unofficial premiere production) ran for only two weekends, and the rest have been three-week runs.
It's an exciting and intimidating end of an era.
With Jeff eligibility in sight and an upcoming Summer 2015 musical in pre-production, we begin venturing into five-week residencies. It's a busy time for all of us and a feat of which BPBCo.'s founding members and I are incredibly proud.
Five-week runs are a big step for our company, and we couldn't have done it without each and every actor, designer, staffer, volunteer, company member, rental property, donor, and audience member over the past nearly five years. "Thank you" doesn't begin to express all my feelings as of late, but it's meant 10,000%.
The Brown Paper Box Co. was founded in 2010 and continues well into 2015. We look forward to many more years working with you all.
Here's to the next chapter,
