The Brown Paper Box Co. presents CHARACTER BREAKDOWN: A Miscast Cabaret this Saturday, March 23 at 8pm. This one-night cabaret will feature appearances from The Brown Paper Box Co. artistic associates and former cast members performing as characters they would never play due to age, gender, voice type, race, etc.
Get to know past cast member (BPBCo.'s Reefer Madness! The Musical 4/20/2012 reading and Godspell) MEGAN ENSLEY (Murder at the Scottish Rite, WSSR Signature Theatre).
Q) What's the first word that comes to mind when you hear 'miscast?'
A) OutKast. You'd never want to Miscast OutKast! I'm sorry.
Q) Have you ever been miscast?
A) I was once cast as the "vixen" ensemble member in a children's production of PIPPIN. That was... different.
Q) Without giving too much away, what can our audience expect with your number?
A) Delightful dueling duet.
Q) Upon first glace when you walk into an audition, what is your character 'type?'
A) Every twentysomething gal with brown hair. (But I can wear a wig if that'll get me the part!) or: Ingenue or supporting/comedic
Q) But what people don't know about you is.....
A) I was once given the gang name "Phelony."
Q) Last good movie you saw?
A) Django Unchained
Q) Current show running in town you're recommending to friends?
A) Letters-X, at the Apollo
