- What is your favorite part of the 1970's? The 1970's were a great time for film. Some favorites of mine include: Alien, The Exorcist, Star Wars, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Animal House, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory, Monty Python & The Holy Grail, and Young Frankenstein. - If (we) really knew (you), we would know that your favorite place to eat in Chicago is... One of my favorite places is Pork Shoppe (conveniently located on Clark & Edgewater one block from the theater). Their pulled pork nachos are served on a giant tortilla and is able to be turned into a pulled pork burrito when you get low enough. That plus their selection of whiskeys is perfect for an evening out. - Speaking of They're Playing Our Song... what is YOUR song, or the song that describes you best? Oh boy, a song the describes me best? The softer side of me loves listening to "Head Over Heels" by Tears for Fears; the music theatre side of me lives for "Goodbye" from Catch Me If You Can. Tears for Fears satisfies my 80''s kid heart, "Goodbye" reminds me to leave it all on the stage and apologize for nothing. - What about this production is special to you? I enjoy how much this show delves into the lives of these two artists and sticks with them through their journey. There are a LOT of shows that depend on the use of a comedic arc to break up the tension and with TPOS we don't get that release. We stick with Sonia and Vernon throughout the good and the bad. They're Playing Our Song runs from July 28 - August 20 at Rivendell Theatre (5779 N. Ridge Ave, Chicago, IL, 60660).
